Personal Profile

Jack Healey was born in San Francisco and later moved to the East Bay where he attended and graduated from St. Mary's High School and went on to get his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco.After graduation, he fulfilled his military commitment with the U.S. Army Engineers. While stationed in Korea, he became a member of the U.S. Army Skydiving Team. He then finished his military commitment while stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco where he was discharged with the rank of Captain. Upon leaving the military, he joined New York Life in 1963 in a special training program for college graduates who had completed their military commitment. This program, only being offered to one person per year, helped Jack to excel into the Chairman's Council in his first year in sales.

In his early years of selling, he became a general practitioner in the insurance world. On numerous occasions he has received all eight company and industry awards which is quite an accomplishment. These awards entail the Million Dollar Round Table, National Quality Award, National Sales Achievement Award, Health Insurance Quality Award, Nylic Council, Centurion, Health Leader and Mass Coverage Award. At times, as few as three agents of the many thousands of New York Life agents have accomplished this. In1978-80, he was elected by his peers as President of the Agent's Advisory Council, an honor only to be held once in your career. Due to these achievements, Jack was in Who's Who as an outstanding citizen in the state of California as well as the International Who's Who in 1992.

Jack and his family lived in the town of Hillsborough on the San Francisco Peninsula for over 30 years and while there, Jack became a member of the Hillsborough Town Council. He currently resides in the town of Woodside, California where he built his dream home in 1992 with his wife, Sharyl. Their five adult children also live on the San Francisco Peninsula. Sharyl is also is an employee of the New York Life Insurance Company in the West Coast Service Center. She is currently in charge of the Call Center. Together, Jack and Sharyl have approximately 75 years of service with the New York Life. They make every effort to help their clients.
